SETTING RULES

It's likely that no one joining our site would have lived in the 1970s or have extensive knowledge of that time period, which is perfectly fine: you don't have to be a historian to join here. However, we expect our members to be mindful of the time period, setting and the Harry Potter-verse; so that we can make characters that are as believable as possible. For example, there are no smart phones in the magical or muggle world at this point, so don't have your characters using or referring to them!

That might be a very obvious example, but there are other things that catch people out. As we are completely tech-dependant nowadays, we often forget that the technology back then was still very modest in comparison.

We want your characters to reflect the time period and setting (magical world, in Britain) as much as possible. Please apply this to your writing and in your avatars as well (e.g. no images of FCs taking a selfie). This will help to build the overall feeling of the site, and really immerse ourselves into the RPG. If you are at all stuck or unsure of anything, our admins are on hand to help out.
