I'm Always Here (Petros)

Theo had asked her brother to meet her at the Three Broomsticks when he was able to, she didn't know if he was going to go off with some friends or not but she did want to at least buy him a Butterbeer or something and just talk. Theo is used to talking with him but they're either always at school or they do the quick hello's in the corridors as the two are going to classes. Theo had her own life as did Petros, so why couldn't she talk to her built in best friend for a little bit before the two continued to grow?

Theo sat at a table with a butterbeer in front of her and one for her brother in the seat she was sure he was going to take and waited. Hopefully he didn't forget.

Lately, Petros felt aimless. Maybe it was the anticipation of the winter holidays. Maybe he needed something new among his housemates to attach himself to. He was spending most of the last Hogsmeade weekend before break watching the various birds migrate away. There wasn't anything else better to do. Of course, that meager barely-a-plan was thrown away with an invitation to spend time with his twin at The Three Broomsticks.

Petros mechanically walked into the Three Broomsticks and immediately searched for Theodora until he found her.

"Hello, Theo."

He took the seat across from her.

"How are. Exams?"

Theo sat there either drinking her drink or playing with her finger nails as she waited for her twin to arrive. It was nice and not crazy that day at the restaurant, Theo doesn't think her brother would have enjoyed the loudness if it had been packed like it usually is from time to time. It was calm and not hectic which Theo could appreciate.

When she heard the voice of her brother she grinned his way. "Hi Petros" she greeted. He took a seat and asked about exams and she sighed. "A lot, I feel like my eyes keep crossing. How are yours coming along?" Theo asked.

He was surprised to see that the Three Broomsticks was quieter than usual. It was strange, but it was nicer as it allowed him to focus on one corner of the restaurant better.

"Mine. Are okay. They are. Tough."

It seemed as if quite a few professors wanted to give his classes a major challenge.

"I am not enjoying. The history. Exam."

Theo could see that he was a little more calmer then usual but she was not going to dwell on it. She sipped her butterbeer once more as she looked at her brother.

"Well brother you know if you need a study partner I am always here to offer my services" she told him so that he knew for the future.

"History of Magic? That one isn't too bad, the one that is annoying is Charms" she continued.

"Okay. I do not. Study very. Often." Studying never gave him the same satisfaction as watching his dormmates sleep. "Yes, charms. Is bad. Day Gone is odd."

Petros could barely understand how Dumbledore let him become a regular professor. He didn't hear a lot of positive things about him.

"Well there are going to be times where you have to study, if not you might be stuck at school forever" Theo teased her brother. "The class is not too horrible but the exam is just bloody mental" Theo commented.

@Petros Burke

"I will not. Be. Stuck at school. Forever." That would be impossible. He would spend all seven years at Hogwarts max. He didn't want to be a lowlife. Petros didn't have plans for his adult life. He only knew it must not be at Hogwarts. "You actually. Like Day Gone?"

That surprised him. Most of the school wasn't fond of him, mainly because he hated students.

Theo didn't blame him, she didn't want to be stuck at school forever either which is why when the times came down to it she really studied hard so that she could pass and not have to deal with the failing or being held back. "Trust me, me neither" she said to her twin. "I never said I liked him, but his class is tolerable in my eyes" she answered.

Tolerable. That was easy to say when, as far as he knew, Theo never had detention with him. Of course, he also managed to avoid having detention with Day Gone. His familiarity was predominately hearsay and gossip.

"Did you hear. About. Fruitcake's dad. Becoming Minister?"

Their family was going to have to tread carefully with him at the top.

When her brother mentioned who was at the top she couldn't help but scoff, she knew who was at the top now and was kind of angry that now the Burkes needed to be careful. It wasn't fair! They had creativity!

"I still don't understand how! Like are they blind or crazy? Or both!" She was not a happy camper.

@Petros Burke

"I do not. Know. But the. Ministry. Needs to be. Stopped."

When was the next election supposed to take place? It was obvious Crouch would likely run for re-election due to the circumstances of his rise to power. How could their family gain more influence?

Petros stared at the table trying to think of something. Nothing was coming to mind.

"Well can we set it on fire and kill everyone in it then? Because frankly they keep putting the trash in charge. I do not know why mother and father cannot come up with a plan to just make it be a dark takeover" Theo wanted change but it was not happening. Theo was told to be patient but she was fifteen! How was she supposed to stay quiet and patient when all she did was cringe with who was now in charge.

"Then we would. Kill. The purebloods. Who work there. We. Do not want. That."

Petros wouldn't mind if there was an attempted arson at the Ministry as long as he wouldn't get the blame for it. There was no need to be branded as a felon before he could figure out his life path outside of finding a nice pureblooded girl to marry and reproduce with.

That wasn't a horrible idea really. "Well we could if they were not into our ways but then again that would draw a lot of attention towards our family" which sucked pretty bad. She thought that they would get their time to shine eventually.

Theo was good at pranking those around her but that was a highly guarded place.

Exactly. That was why they needed to think of something subtle.

"We have. A seat in. Wizengamot. We can. Spread our. Influ. Ence with that."

Their conversation was then interrupted by an employee wondering if he was going to order anything. Being Petros, he kept it simple with butterbeer and fish and chips. Simple.

"I do not. Think either. Of us are in. The line of. Ascension. For the seat."

Even though her brother was a little.. not normal but was normal to her and their family but he did have a good brain. "That is true brother, I have to give you credit on that" she responded to him.

The employee had interrupted them and instead of just being original she got the same thing her brother got since she wanted to get back to the conversation at hand.

"I don't think so either, I believe father has other plans" Theo sighed.

"It is a. Simple idea." Beyond what every wizarding citizen knew, Petros wasn't into politics. It wasn't his thing.

"What kind. Of. Plans do. You think. He is up. To?"

Petros wouldn't be surprised if the actual heir was involved in some form. There was that expectation as the eldest. His eyes drooped down to examine the edges of the table. There was a lot of vulgar carvings on his side.

Her brother's simple idea was a good one. "It may be simple but it was a good one" she encouraged, taking a sip of her drink. So delicious.

"None that involve us, he has older children for that so I doubt he'd need us unless it was a last resort. Knowing father he has back up plans to his back up plans" she sighed. Their father was unpredictable.

"Yes. Our father. Is very in. Telly Gent."

Petros was beginning to feel as if this wasn't the best conversation to have in such an environment. Whatever their father had planned, he desired no part in sabotaging it.

"What are you. Going. To do during. Break?"

"That is correct" even if she urged to correct him in how to say intelligent but that was her brother's speech for anyone.

Theo appreciated the change in subject but now she needed to think of this question. "I.... don't know really, what were you thinking?" She asked.

Petros shrugged.

"I might. Go to the. Gala. Lots. To watch."

Plenty of people. No shortage of faces. People that weren't at Hogwarts. It was the perfect environment to find targets to follow.

Did she really want to go to that thing? Probably not but if her brother wanted to go he was more then welcome. "I probably won't be going there, I think it might be a little boring since a lot of people there will be oldies" weren't all who worked for the ministry old?

"What if. They accident. Ally. Give out Ministry. Secrets?" he inquired raising an eyebrow. A rare moment of animation from that section of his face. "Just give them. Enough alcohol."

"The only way that would happen is if there is a leak in the Ministry or if someone was really drunk off their ass.. Knowing Crouch he won't let anyone who is not anyone know his secrets" but that would be amusing right?
