gift of life (severus)

Jeremy had been doing some research on one of the potions, that he was studying about. Although it didn’t take long for him to lose interest in that, and began reading about alchemy, since that was a far more fascinating subject than Potions, because Alchemy had the power to extend life. Well if he had been skilled enough and Jeremy hoped to one day become that but now he was stuck in the blah of school, and sat at one of the desks doing a little bit of reading.

With Barty having some last assignments to attend to before break, Severus decided to occupy himself by working on a potion or two in the potions classroom. He didn't plan on doing anything too complicated, just one to get his fix out of the way as he didn't think he'd do a lot of it while school wasn't in session.

He entered the classroom and went sour upon seeing somebody else was already in there. Thankfully, it was only a housemate, but it disappointed him to not have the space to himself. "If you're only in here to read, take it to the library."

Severus crossed over to one of the other desks and put his supplies out.

Jeremy had no intentions of leaving, because he had a right to be here right like his classmate. He glanced up and sent him a little smirk, “The dungeons are big enough for both of us. I am just doing a little bit of a distraction, and then I tend to resume my Potion.” said Jeremy with a glare. No one had to leave, because it was meant as a place to study in Jeremy’s mind.

Severus glanced around the classroom. "That's funny, I hardly smell fumes." However, that could be the result of being desensitized to just about every potions-related smell imaginable. He could tell if a potion is done with a blindfold on with how much brewing he's engaged in over the years.

"How long have you been in here?" he questioned as he began flipping through his potion's textbook to decide on a potion to make.
