Um.. What is this? (Cheryl)

Emmy had some last minute work to do before she could call it a day and go be with some friends. Emmy was someone who took her work very seriously and didn't want to jeopardies her grades just to go out with some friends and bond here and there. Emmy ever since being adopted didn't want to disappoint her new father, he loved and cared for her like she was his own. Emmy was grateful for the man and his son for taking her in, she never understood why he decided to adopt since Tobyn was his biological son but she was not complaining since she got to find her forever family even if she didn't have a mother.

Emmy was sitting at a table in the back with her parchment and books, not wanting to be bothered but also not wanting to be seen sitting there by herself.

Since the start of term, Cheryl had kept her eye on a girl who was a year below her. She was stunning! BHowever, she wasn't threatening enough to usurp her self-proclaimed spot of prettiest girl at Hogwarts. She found her taste in style to be horrendous and something that necessitated an intervention! Of course, as long as it didn't end up in her being outshone...

Cheryl hardly went to the library. Why study for exams when being attractive just adds to being a cruise ship heiress? It took a while for her to spot a certain redhead. "Everyone, stop what you're doing!" she screeched loudly before rushing over to Emmeline. In her hand was an endless bag full of makeup products and outfits that were out of season for at least two years. "There's a fashion emergency!"

Emmy had her red hair in a messy ponytail as she looked through her books and wrote down some of her answers. Since she had a free period after all her classes she was in her normal wearing clothes which resulted in a sweater and a pair of non-stick trousers. She didn't like dressing fancy when there was no special occasion. Then she heard a voice and sighed, she knew that voice.

Looking up as Cheryl made her way towards Emmy who was apparently not well hidden. "This is not a fashion emergency this is a you emergency as in you need to leave me alone so I can finish my homework" Emmy tried to clarify she didn't want to be bothered.

"Doing homework in those?!?" she chided in reference to those ugly trousers. Ew! Who'd want to wear something so 1940a? Cheryl couldn't believe such a response! Why couldn't she be thanked for her amazing sense of style and generosity? "I believe every girl should look cute when doing homework!"

Without receiving consent, Cheryl opened up her emergency styling bag and pulled out a pleated miniskirt. "Your legs are too nice to cover up!" She had zero care for the cold temperatures outside.

"Yes, there is nothing wrong with my clothes" Emmy said to her, in the other girl's eyes it probably looked like this was a horror show but when it came to Emmy, she didn't care how she dressed. "Its home, not a date" even if Emmy didn't really go on dates.

Emmy was kind of baffled when the girl pulled out a mini skirt, was she serious right now? "I am not putting that on" did she not know it was freezing out?

Nothing wrong with her clothes? Was she delusional?!?! "Every girl should look their best no matter the place!" Did she not read all of those teen and fashion magazines for fashion advice? Didn't every girl at Hogwarts read those magazines..?

"Why not? It's cuter than those gross trousers!" Cheryl wouldn't let herself be caught dead in such a pair! "I can also do your makeup!"

This girl was on something or she was drunk off her ass. "I am dressing my best right now" what was this girl trying to say? She was not dressed like she was desperate, she was dressed her natural self.

Rolling her eyes. "I prefer these 'gross trousers'" she was kind of offended. Makeup?

"No, you're not!" she insisted as she yeeted the pleated skirt onto the table.

Cheryl wasn't going to take no for an answer. If Mandeline wanted to waste her looks on such tragic outfits, that was on her!

"How will you go steady wearing that?!?"

The lack of self-awareness was apparent.

"Just because I am not wearing a skirt and spending all of my money on clothes doesn't mean that I don't have a sense of fashion, I just don't feel like showing it" she said to Cheryl. This girl was everywhere!

"Steady?!" What was she talking about.

"Then what's the point of having one if you don't show it???"

Never had Cheryl felt so confused! Then again, a lot of things confused her. She got a lot of people's names mixed up or completely incorrect. How could she be expected to match names to faces with precision?

Cheryl clenched her emergency fashion bag tighter stunned by how much of a rock she lived in. "You know dating?! Boys?!?"

"I am at school... Why do I need to show it? Most of the students here I will not see or talk to again when I graduate so what's the problem?" Emmy failed to see the issue with all of this.

Emmy wished she would have just stayed in her common room if she was going to have to deal with this girl on a daily basis. "I've never dated anyone and I doubt anyone here has a crush on me and yes I know you're going to enlighten me and tell me its because of the way I dress but if I guy cannot like me for me and how I dress now.. He doesn't deserve my time" Emmy responded.

She won't talk to anybody at Hogwarts after graduating? "You mean you're moving out of Britain???!!???" No! Vannie can't be! Cheryl was stunned. Not many people would leave Britain altogether! How dense she was.

"But you have to look cute if you want to woo one!"

Nope, Cheryl wasn't going to let down that easily.

"Where do you get your clothes?"
