Amelia was having a tough time dealing with the transition from the Minchum to the Crouch administration; Instead of enjoying her holidays, much of her time was spent adjusting to all of the new obligations and responsibilities thrust upon her. It was making walking by the golden fountain each morning almost infuriating. For once, she desired a change of scenery even if it was just crossing the channel to France's Ministry. She still had a job to do, so it was important she acquainted herself with all of her new subordinates, she loathed that term, and work on establishing how the department will run under her oversight.

Stepping into the auror offices with a few folders in hand, she decided to start talking to those that were youngest first. With their lack of familiarity regarding the bureaucratic politics that filled the workplace, Amelia wanted to ensure that they wouldn't be left behind during the change of leadership. "Hello, Mr. Van Doom," Amelia greeted with a warm smile. "I'm your new boss, Amelia Bones. Are you currently open to having a quick chat?"

She wasn't completely in-the-know of the current cases being handled in this end of the department; her specialty for the longest time was improper use of magic.

Toby had just arrived back from his mission, he had to arrest a man who was an accomplish in a murder and he needed to be questioned before going straight to Azkaban. Toby had been able to find him with the help of two other Aurors and now he had the paper work to fall behind his job. As he was filling out the report on all that had happened at the scene, he was approached by his new boss.

With Barty Crouch going up in the Ministry someone else had to take over, he was impressed it was a woman since he knew how tough it was. "Hello Ms. Bones, please call me Toby or Tobyn, whichever you prefer. I am free for a chat" this paper work could be done when this was over.

"Hello, Toby, it is swell to meet you," Amelia responded before summoning over a small swivel chair to sit on. With all of the stress she's been under lately, the tiniest bit of comfort in the offices was important to have. "Before I ask you about your thoughts and feelings regarding the department, how are you?"

"Its nice to meet you as well" he responded back to her, she seemed nice right? But even Toby knew this was his new boss so she meant business. "I am doing good, how are you?" Toby asked, trying to make her not think he was rude.

The auror office was bustling compared to the improper use of magic partition of the department; she was grateful that it was quieter than she assumed for the moment. "That's nice to hear. I'm doing rather well myself."

She wasn't going to comment on all of the stress she's wrestled with over the past few weeks. Why diminish morale so early on in the new Crouch administration?

"I'll be asking the same questions to everyone in your department, so don't fret over answering truthfully. I am here to figure out how the auror division operated under our now-Minister's leadership. How efficiently do you think the department worked under Crouch?"

He was glad to know and hear that his new boss was doing well herself. He wanted to make sure that things ran smoothly between the two of them but he was also not a kiss ass either. "That is good to know Ms. Bones" he said with a polite smile.

"I honestly think that it ran as smoothly as can be expected. I don't want to bad mouth our new Minister but I will have to say he at least tried" Toby didn't want any drama when it came his way.

Amelia was cognizant of Crouch's reputation as a workaholic; she could feel some of it rubbing off on her over the years working in the department.

Didn't want to badmouth the Minister? Hm, that was something she'd have to press more about. How else would she be able to not make some mistakes?

"Was there any concerns you had while the department was under his authority..?" she inquired fiddling with the sleeve of her coat. "I'd like to know even if you'd prefer to write it down. I want to be aware of what I should work on."
