BASICS

This is a private site - do not give out site details to anyone else.
Register with your character's first and last name (e.g. James Potter), you can use a made up email as on forumotion it doesn't really matter. Fill out your user profile, then fill out and post your app. Once it's approved, please fill out claims for your character. Then you're free to RP.
Once you register, you have two weeks to fill out your app. Please contact an admin if you need more time because of RL circumstances.
No godmodding, metagaming, powerplay here. Don't take control of someone else's character, do not assume your character knows something IC that you (the player) know OOC. Play fair and be nice to one another.
No character limits! This may change in the future if we feel the need to put in restrictions.
No word count, and we actually mean that.
Post in the relevant forum.
Avatars are 220 x 350. We prefer static images for avatars, then use gifs for your 100 x 100 hover image. Gifs and avatars will resize automatically, so don't worry too much about linking from an external site as long as it's not from one of the unadvised hosts. Nickpic is a good site to upload to.
You can easily switch between accounts by using the character switcher at the bottom of the site. Just click the + to add characters, then you can click on their pictures to switch. This feature requires cookies, so make sure they are enabled for this site.

We are character and event driven, and semi-AU. This means that you can follow canons to the book or have slightly AU parts to them (e.g. Peter never ends up betraying his friends). But please keep the canon character personalities the same (e.g. Peter is a coward).
On the canon list, those with unmarked birth years are flexible.
The site rating is PG-13. If your threads go into a more mature subject, then contact an admin for further details.
Our FC rules are quite relaxed. Athletes, actors, musicians, models, public figures, can be used. When it comes to the usage of Internet celebrities, we just ask that they have something to show their stardom whether it's an official site, Wikipedia article, IMDB, etc. FCs should represent the age of the character in question, but that also means you can use younger photos of older celebrities if you want.
You don't need to use posting templates here. Simple BBcode is fine.
With the exception of Remus Lupin, no other student werewolves are allowed.

Bullying and harassment is a straight ban. Treat others nicely and kindly. If you have any issues with another member, please contact one of the admins immediately. We want this to be a place where people feel comfortable.
When using our site discord, please adhere to the discord rules (they're on there). There are consequences if you don't.
Admins have the final say on anything not listed. Please respect the admins' decisions on anything related to the site. Rules are subject to changes and additional rules being made as the site progresses.
